how we become who we are

"Moral excellence comes about as a result of habit. We become just by doing just acts, temperate by doing temperate acts, brave by doing brave acts." - Aristotle

What would I do from this point on?

balance in the universe

have you ever felt like you're up in the clouds after that one last shot? that wonderful light headedness seems to take you to a higher place, transcending space and time~~

...now only if i can feel a lil less thick headed the morning after... @_@

the universe has its way of balancing things out after all.

floor...

I remember hearing a joke a few years back that had something like this...

When someone wants to drink and drive and there's no stopping him, you can apply the 1, 2, 3, 4 method:
one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor.

....so there is some truth to that joke. XD

ingenuity shmengenuity?

Is innovation rewarded? We often see features and designs emulated... and companies that reap benefit from other companies' risk taking.

Innovation needs a revival.

Thai Tom - U District

Restaurant Address:
4543 University Way NE

Seattle, WA 98105

206.548.9548

Restaurant Introduction:

Thai Tom is a "TINY" little Thai Restaurant in the heart of the University District in Seattle, WA. The restaurant has nearly no decoration outside but there is one thing that always sets them apart; there are ALWAYS people waiting in line OUTSIDE for their wonderful food.

The Food: For those of you who like spices and spicy food with a FULL body of flavor, this would be a heavenly little place for you. Me and my friend took the recommendation of their waitress there (yeah we did, she was/is cute and we are guys!) and ordered two dishes called "Panan Curry" and "Flaming Rama." I'm glad we took the suggestion, because these two $6 dishes were the best Thai food I've had in a long time.

(Image Below: The Flaming Rama)
The Service: They have two waitresses taking orders for this restaurant. For the size of this place, having two people is more than enough. Which is I think why we received some of the friendliest services from any restaurant. Be aware where you are sitting tho, we sat on the bar stools right in front of the chef and the waitresses constantly had to reach over our shoulders to get the food to serve. Personally, I didn't mind it at all because of the atmosphere there.

The Chef: The chef couldn't have been more than 5 feet away from us while he's cooking up a storm of fire. It was quite a show! This dark skinned Thai gentleman is the skinniest man I've met in recent memory but was capable of cooking up to 5 dishes simultaneously. I was amazed at how big a fire he was cooking with, and he even especially put on a show for us. For the video of that, click on the link here. --->

NO SMOKING: Yep, this place is small enough the fumes from the cook radiates right in front of your face and stimulate your nose before the dish even arrives. They do have a sign in Thai that affectionally says "NO SMOKING" with a lightening going through it. LOL

Time To Go: Definetely, Definetely, Definetely go 15~20 minute before dinner or lunch rush time. You will get to choose where you want to sit and order as soon as you sit down rather than waiting in line watching people who arrived before you enjoy the delicious food as you stand outside under the sun (or more likely rain, it being Seattle here).

(Image Below: Their menu made of wood)
Restaurant Food Costs: EVERYTHING on the menu is about below $6 dollars. Pick up one of the huge slabs of wood with the gold lettering on them and pick your favorite dish. Yep, that's the menu. The Panan Curry is highly recommended. I personally love spicy food, and Thai Tom's spicy food at five stars gives me the satisfying full body taste I don't find in other restaurants.
